For Patients

Let us get you to your care.

If you're medically stable and treatment is far from home, a volunteer pilot may be able to fly you there — comfortably, and at no cost to you or your family.

Eligibility

Who we can fly

Our volunteer pilots fly small aircraft, so a few basic conditions help us keep every flight safe and comfortable:

  • You must be medically stable and able to fly in a small aircraft
  • Travel is for legitimate medical treatment or evaluation
  • You can sit upright for the duration of the flight
  • One companion may travel with you when space and weight allow
  • We focus on transporting Louisiana patients to regional medical centers

Not sure if you qualify? Reach out — our mission coordinators are happy to help you find out.

Good to know

  • It's free. Patients are never charged for a flight.
  • Plan ahead. Requests are matched with a volunteer pilot, so earlier is better.
  • Weather matters. Flights depend on safe conditions and may be rescheduled.
  • You're not alone. A coordinator helps arrange the details with you.
